sew-in extensions

If you go longer than 8 weeks between extension maintenance you run the risk of developing tangling and matting above the extension attachment. Sometimes this tangling and matting can be brushed out during the removal process, sometimes it causes hair to break or tangles can become so severe they need to be cut out.

Use a Sleep Cap

Try using a sleep cap that is made of silk or satin, avoid cotton. This method also works with sew-in extensions, wigs, and keratin bonds because you don't have to wrap your hair around your head. Simply place it inside the sleep cap. You can also braid your hair and put the sleep cap on top of it.

Hair Extensions and Your Lifestyle

These are two things that go hand in hand. For a person who lives a very active lifestyle, going to the gym or working outdoors, would want to consider the best type of hair extensions or wigs that will allow them to look their best without the hassle of constantly maintaing their hair on the go.

While the faishonista is looking for ultra glam hair that she can use and put away and reuse years later still like new, fresh, luxurious hair.

Things to consider:

Do you prefer a sew-in or glue-in Install? Sew-in's last longer and require less touch up's versus glue-in extensions. Sew-in's are also better for the more physically active person. Excessive sweating could cause the glue-in extensions to lose some of its adhesive hold. Which will lead to more glue being used to re-bond the hair extensions to your scalp. P.S. that's not good. smh

Do you prefer Lace Frontal or Lace Closure?  Frontals recreate the hairline from ear to ear while closures are used to recreate the natural parting of the hairline.  Yet, we recommend having yours professionally installed so that the install process includes bleaching the knots on the frontal; along with plucking the hair line and tinting the lace if needed. Lace closures require little maintenance. But they limit your styling process to a square area of 4x4, 5x5 or 6x6 parting space.
